Help spread the word
Hello Family & Friends,
I am participating in Swim For Hope at SwimKids Swim School to benefit Hope Floats Foundation. During my swim practice the week of April 8th, I swam 96 laps to raise money for scholarships for kids who may not be able to afford lessons like me. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, just like yourself, to give scholarships and tuition assistance to underprivileged children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons.
**According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 5 to 19-year-olds who were Black were five times more likely to drown in a swimming pool compared to their white peers, and Black children ages 11 and 12 were 10 times more likely to drown.Jun 12, 2023
About this fundraiser:
A child dies from drowning every minute across the globe. It’s the silent epidemic that no one is talking about. The absolute blessing here is that drowning is preventable. Through pooling our resources and connecting underserved children with providers who can help educate families how to keep their children safe and who can give children the ability to save their own lives through learning to swim, community by community, we can reverse the tide of child drownings worldwide. Help us end childhood drowning by donating to help teach a child in need. Learn more at www.hopefloats.foundation.
